OUR PHILOSOPHY
Communication Focused Dog Training
Does your dog pull you around the neighborhood?
Do they jump on guests? Bark at everything they see?
Or are you looking to advance your dog's skills?

Meet Kyle – Head Trainer of MD K9
I’m Kyle, the trainer behind MD K9 Training. For me, dog training isn’t just about teaching commands—it’s about building a stronger, stress-free relationship between you and your dog inside your own home. Every dog I work with is unique, so I tailor each session to your household, your routines, and your goals.
Over the years, I’ve helped families across Maryland—from Baltimore to Frederick and the D.C. area—transform their dogs from unruly or reactive to calm, confident, and dependable companions. Whether it’s teaching good manners, advanced obedience, off-leash reliability, or addressing serious behavioral challenges, I bring patience, structure, and a results-driven approach that gets real, lasting change.
My training philosophy is simple: clear communication, consistency, and teamwork with the owner. I don’t just train your dog—I train you how to become your dog’s best teacher. The result is a happy, reliable dog you can enjoy anywhere, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’re supported for life.
At MD K9 Training, you’re not just signing up for a program—you’re gaining a partner who’s invested in your dog’s success long after the sessions end.
Meet Labrina – Puppy Specialist, Client Care & Canine Nutrition Expert
At MD K9 Training, Labrina brings a unique blend of compassion, knowledge, and expertise that makes her an essential part of our team. While Kyle focuses on in-home training programs, Labrina works one-on-one with her own clients—especially families welcoming new puppies. Her patient and encouraging style helps set the foundation for good manners, confidence, and healthy routines right from the start.
Beyond training, Labrina is deeply committed to client care and support. She’s the one making sure families feel comfortable, heard, and supported throughout their journey. From answering questions to guiding owners through the “what’s next” after each session, she ensures every client has the tools and confidence to succeed.
Labrina also brings extensive canine nutrition knowledge to MD K9. She educates families on how proper diet impacts behavior, development, and overall health—helping dogs thrive both mentally and physically. Her guidance on nutrition has been a game-changer for many of our clients, giving them a deeper understanding of how to support their dogs beyond training.
With Labrina, families not only gain a caring and knowledgeable trainer but also a lifelong partner dedicated to their dog’s well-being, inside and out.

Working at boarding, grooming, training facilities and veterinarian's offices, we have continued to learn all we can about dog care, training, and nutrition. Having clients of all breeds, and with needs ranging from severe anxiety or aggression to puppies needing a great foundation and dogs looking to level up their tricks we have a training program to fit all of your needs!
What Our Clients Have to Say
Kyle provided us with exceptional, personalized training for our 3-month-old Belgian Malinois. Before meeting him, we were struggling with our puppy. However, after trying Kyle’s free consultation, everything changed. He broke down a training system that was simple and easy for us to follow. His method focuses on training the owners, which has been crucial for us to continue the training on our own.

Kyle is amazing to work with and knowledgeable! Maryland K9 was our last resort and we wish we would have found them much sooner, especially after wasting so much money on other trainers and training centers! Our dog loves him! We are learning so much and are so grateful. He communicates effectively and demonstrates the techniques and makes himself available if we have questions etc. after the lesson

Kyle has been amazing! We were having some concerns with our 10 month old Pit and he was able to give us so many tips and techniques! Although we still need some more work, our pit has shown so much potential and improvement! Thanks Kyle!
